"As you are flipping through this copy of the coolest publication ever, you are probably wondering 'hmm, what is The GurU?' Well, let us tell you.
The UPC Publications Board is in charge of the monthly publications known as The GurU. The GurU is a free publication provided to all U of U students and is available for pick up at 15 different locations around campus as well as in many places inside the Union Building.
The GurU is a student run publication brought to you by the Union Programming Council. Its purpose is to help students survive the boredom that they often find themselves suffering from during the weekdays and weekends alike. Just think of us as the wise upperclassmen that know the coolest places to be and to be seen.
We'll help you get to know your campus and your city. If you start to wonder what all the hype surrounding this so-called 'Crimson Nights' is, but no one will tell you, just check your copy of The GurU, and problem solved!
